Kasama Central MP Inspects Completion of Solar Water Scheme at Nyola Rural Health Post
Kasama Central Member of Parliament, Hon. Sibongile Mwamba, visited the Nyola Rural Health Post in Julia Chikamoneka Ward on 17th August, 2024 to inspect the completion of the newly constructed Solar Water Scheme.
Speaking during the visit, she said that the project, funded under the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) at a cost of K293,450, has been successfully completed. She stated that the scheme would meaningfully improve access to clean and safe water for both the health facility and the surrounding community.
Hon Mwamba further said that this achievement marks a key milestone in the New Dawn Government’s efforts to enhance rural healthcare infrastructure. She stressed that access to clean water is important for maintaining proper hygiene and sanitation in health facilities, which in turn contributes to improved healthcare service delivery in Kasama.
Hon. Mwamba also said that the project would alleviate the burden on expectant mothers and patients, who previously had to fetch water from distant sources. She stated that the new water scheme would make it easier for them to access water, ultimately improving their overall experience when seeking medical care.
