6. QUESTIONS FOR ORAL ANSWER (STANDING ORDER 80)
148 Ms M Phiri (Milanzi) - to ask the Minister of Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development:
(a) whether the Government has any plans to rehabilitate Katete - Kamphambe -Chadiza road, which is in a deplorable state;
(b) if so, when the plans will be implemented; and
(c) if there are no such plans, why.
149 Mr Sing’ombe (Dundumwezi) - to ask the Minister of Water Development and Sanitation:
(a) whether the Government has any plans to undertake the following in Dundumwezi Parliamentary Constituency, in 2024:
(i) construct dams; and
(ii) sink boreholes;
(b) if so, how many dams are earmarked for construction;
(c) how many boreholes are earmarked for sinking;
(d) how many boreholes will have solar powered water pumps; and
(e) if there are no such plans, why.
150 Mr Kapyanga (Mpika) - to ask the Minister of Tourism:
(a) whether the Government has any plans to construct an electric fence around Nabwalya Chiefdom in Mpika District to mitigate human-animal conflict;
(b) if so, when the plans will be implemented; and
(c) if there are no such plans, why.
151 Mr Mwambazi (Bwana Mkubwa) - to ask the Minister of Community Development and Social Services:
(a) whether the Government has any plans to re-open the Kang’onga Production Centre for Persons with Disabilities in Bwana Mkubwa Parliamentary Constituency;
(b) if so, when the plans will be implemented;
(c) what the cost of re-opening the Centre is; and
(d) what the status of the workshops at the Centre was, as of April, 2024.
152 Mr Miyutu (Kalabo Central) - to ask the Minister of Finance and National Planning:
(a) what the rationale for mopping up unutilised funds allocated to Government institutions in each financial year is;
(b) whether the exercise has any negative effects on public service delivery;
(c) if so, what the effects are; and
(d) what measures are being taken to ensure that the allocated funds are utilised within the financial year.
