7. QUESTIONS FOR ORAL ANSWER (STANDING ORDER 80)
46. Mr Sing’ombe (Dundumwezi) - to ask the Minister of Small and Medium Enterprise Development:
(a) how many markeeters applied for booster loans under the Marketeer Booster Loan Programme, countrywide, in 2022 and 2023, year by year; and
(b) of the applicants above, how many benefited from the Programme in Dundumwezi Parliamentary Constituency.
47. Ms Nyirenda (Lundazi) - to ask the Minister of Education:
(a) when construction of a secondary school, funded by the World Bank in Nyangwe area in Lundazi District, will commence;
(b) what the cause of the delay in commencing the project is; and
(c) what the estimated time frame for the completion of the project is.
48. Mr Miyutu (Kalabo Central) - to ask the Minister of Health:
(a) what the prevalence rate of prostate cancer in the country was, as of April, 2024;
(b) what the most affected age group was; and
(c) what measures are being taken to enhance prostate cancer awareness, countrywide.
49. Mr Simuzingili (Gwembe) - to ask the Minister of Education:
(a) whether the Government has any plans to rehabilitate Chipepo Boarding Secondary School in Gwembe District, which is in a dilapidated state;
(b) if so, when the plans will be implemented;
(c) what the cost of the exercise is;
(d) what the time frame for undertaking the exercise is; and
(e) if there are no such plans, why.
50. Mr Emmanuel Tembo (Feira) - to ask the Minister of Agriculture:
(a) whether the Government is aware of the stalled irrigation project under the Strengthening Climate Resilience of Agriculture Livelihood in Agro-Ecological Regions (SCRALA) in Katondwe Ward in Feira Parliamentary Constituency;
(b) if so, what measures the Government is taking to complete the project;
(c) what the estimated cost of completion of the project is; and
(d) when the project will be completed.
51. Mr Menyani Zulu (Nyimba) - to ask the Minister of Home Affairs and Internal Security:
(a) whether the Government has any plans to rehabilitate staff houses at Nyimba Police Camp in Nyimba District;
(b) if so, when the plans will be implemented; and
(c) if there are no such plans, why.
52. Ms Nakaponda (Isoka) - to ask the Minister of Commerce Commerce, Trade and Industry:
(a) what the ownership structure of Mulungushi Textiles in Kabwe District is;
(b) what the major challenges that hamper the company’s operations are; and
(c) when the company will resume its operations.
