Suspend Standing Orders: That Standing Orders 24, 27 and 87 of the National Assembly of Zambia Standing Orders, 2024, be suspended to enable the House to sit up to 20:30 hours on Thursday, 26th September, 2024 and further, to enable the House to sit from 14:15 hours until Business has been concluded, and to omit the Vice President’s Question Time from the Order Paper on Friday, 27th September, 2024.

6. QUESTIONS FOR ORAL ANSWER (STANDING ORDER 80)
18. Ms S Mwamba (Kasama Central) - to ask the Minister of Energy:
(a) what the progress on the rehabilitation works on the Chishimba Falls Hydroelectric Power Station in Kasama District was, as of March, 2024;
(b) whether the loan agreement signed between ZESCO Ltd and Development Bank of Germany (KFW) in 2016, was still subsisting as of March, 2024;
(c) how much power the plant was generating as of March, 2024;
(d) who the contractor for the project is; and
(e) what the estimated time frame for the completion of the project is.
19. Mr Hamwaata (Pemba) - to ask the Minister of Agriculture:
(a) what measures the Government is taking to promote irrigation schemes, countrywide;
(b) whether the Government has any plans to create a national irrigation agency;
(c) if so, when the plans will be implemented; and
(d) if there are no such plans, why.

Establish a Poverty Datum Line: That, in order to ascertain the standards of living in the country, this House urges the Government to establish a poverty datum line.
