321. Mr Kampyongo (Shiwang’andu) - to ask the Minister of Energy: 

 

(a) what urgent measures the Government is taking to restore operations that have, for the past one week, been shut down at the Shiwang’andu Mini Hydro Power Station in Shiwang’andu District, thereby adversely affecting operations at health facilities and disrupting economic activities in MuchingaProvince; and

 

(b) what the cause of the shutdown is.

 

 

322. Mr Miyutu (Kalabo Central)  -  to ask the Minister of Information and Media:

 

(a) when the Government will rehabilitate the Zambia News and Information Services (ZANIS) offices in Kalabo District; and

 

(b) what short term measures the Government is taking to ensure a conducive working environment in the offices while awaiting rehabilitation works.

 

323. Mr Chilangwa (Kawambwa) - to ask the Minister of Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development: 

 

(a) when construction of the Kasomeno - Mwenda road, connecting Zambia and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, will commence;

 

(b) whether the financial closure of the project has been attained; and

 

(c) what the estimated time frame for the completion of the project is.

 

 

Adopt Report of the Parliamentary Delegation: That this House do adopt the Report of the Zambian Delegation to the 64th Session of the Organisation of African, Caribbean and Pacific States (OACPS) Parliamentary Assembly and the 1st Session of the OACPS - European Union Joint Parliamentary Assembly held in Luanda, Angola, from 17th to 21st February, 2024, for the Third Session of the Thirteenth National Assembly, laid on the Table of the House on Monday, 18th March, 2024.
