Suspend Standing Orders:That Standing Orders 25, 27 and 115 of the National Assembly of Zambia Standing Orders, 2021, be suspended to enable the House to sit at 09:00 hours until Business on the Order Paper for each day is completed from Wednesday, 13th December, 2023 and also to consider more than one stage of a Bill at a single sitting.

 

 

 

161. Mr Chewe (Lubansenshi)  -  to ask the Minister of Youth, Sport and Arts:

 

(a) whether the Government is aware that in the past two weeks, 5 youths have died in Lubansenshi Parliamentary Constituency due to abuse of alcohol and drugs;

 

(b) if so, what urgent measures are being taken to address the problem; and

 

(c) whether the Government has any plans to formulate a policy to restrict/control the production of harmful illicit alcohol in order to reduce the abuse of alcohol especially by the youths in the country.
