Suspend Standing Orders: That Standing Orders 25, 27 and 115 of the National Assembly of Zambia Standing Orders, 2021, be suspended to enable the House to sit at 0900 hours until business on the Order Paper for each day is completed from Thursday, 7th to Wednesday, 13th December, 2023 and also to consider more than one stage of a Bill at a single sitting.
QUESTION FOR ORAL ANSWER (STANDING ORDER 76)
158. Mr Chewe (Lubansenshi) - to ask the Minister of Local Government and Rural Development:
(a) whether the Government is aware that Ward Development Committee Members in Lubansenshi and other Constituencies are charging applicants of the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) to process their applications;
(b) what urgent measures are being taken to ensure the Committee’s adherence to the CDF guidelines; and
(c) when the measures at (b) will be implemented.

159. Mr C Mpundu (Chembe) - to ask the Minister of Health:
(a) whether the Government has any plans to construct mortuaries at the following Health Centres in Chembe District:
(i) Kundamfumu;
(ii) Lukola;
(iii) Chembe;
(iv) Kasomalwela; and
(v) Chipete;
(b) if so, when the plans will be implemented; and
(c) if there are no such plans, why.

Formulate An Agricultural Policy To Minimise The Dependency On Maize: That in order to minimize the dependency on maize as the main staple food, this House urges the Government to formulate an agricultural policy to promote the production of other affordable staple foods.

Adopt Report of the Committee on Delegated Legislation: That this House do adopt the Report of the Committee on Delegated Legislation on the Proposal to Ratify the Agreement Amending the Treaty of the Southern African Development Community (SADC), for the Third Session of the Thirteenth National Assembly, laid on the Table of the House on Thursday, 30th November, 2023.
