QUESTIONS FOR ORAL ANSWER (STANDING ORDER 74)

111. Mr Chonde (Milenge) -  to ask the Minister of Technology and Science:

 (a)   whether the Government has any plans to construct communication towers in Milenge District in 2023;

 (b)   if so, how many towers are earmarked for construction; and

 (c)   whether the areas to be covered will include the following:

  1. Lungomukuta;
  2. Kalali; and
  3. Mulungushi.

112. Mr Chanda (Kanchibiya)  -  to ask the Minister of Transport and Logistics:

(a)  whether the Government has any plans to procure a commercial boat engine to provide connectivity through water transport between Kanchibiya District and Lunga, Samfya and Chilubi Districts;

(b)   if so, when the plans will be implemented; and

(c)    if there are no such plans, why.

113.  Mr Hlazo (Chilanga)  -  to ask the Minister of Water Development and Sanitation:

  (a)   when the Government will connect water to the following areas in Chilanga Parliamentary Constituency:

         (i)  Freedom;

        (ii)  Musamba;

       (iii)  Long Ridge;

       (iv)  Game and Fisheries; and

       (v)   Namalombwe Ward; and

  (b)  what measures the Government is taking to address the water challenges in Apollo L85.

114. Mr Tayengwa (Kabwata)  -  to ask the Minister of Health why the National Mental Health Council had not been established as of April, 2023, despite the enactment of the Mental Health Act No. 6 of 2019.

115. Mr Mukosa (Chinsali)  -  to ask the Minister of Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development:

   (a)   whether the Government has any plans to tar the Mbesuma-Kafwimbi road in Chinsali District; and

   (b)   if so, when the plans will be implemented.

 

QUESTION FOR WRITTEN ANSWER (STANDING ORDER 75)

W2. Mr Hamwaata (Pemba)  - to ask the Minister of Education:

 (a)  what the deficit for teachers’ houses was, as of June, 2023, countrywide, district by district;

  (b)  what the estimated cost of constructing the houses at (a) is;

 (c)   whether the Government is considering using a Public Private Partnership (PPP) model of development to address the deficit;

(d)     if so, when the project is expected to commence; and

(e)     if the PPP model is not desirable, why.
