QUESTION FOR ORAL ANSWER (STANDING ORDER 76)
46. Mr. Emmanuel J Banda (Petauke Central) - to ask the Vice President:
(a) whether the Government is aware that there has been a critical shortage of maize in the past one month in Petauke Central Parliamentary Constituency; and
(b) if so, what urgent measures are being taken to provide relief food to the Constituency to avert starvation.
QUESTIONS FOR ORAL ANSWER (STANDING ORDER 74)
47. Mr. Mukosa (Chinsali) - to ask the Minister of Education:
(a) what the progress, in percentage terms, on the construction of Paul Mushindo University in Chinsali District was, as of August, 2023; and
(b) when the project will be completed.
48. Ms.Sabao (Chikankata) - to ask the Minister of Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development:
(a) why the construction of the following infrastructure in Chikankata District has stalled:
(i) district administration offices;
(ii) police station; and
(iii) police staff houses;
(b) when the projects will resume;
(c) what the cause of the delay in completing each project is; and
(d) what the cost of the outstanding works, on each project, is.
49. Mr. Shakafuswa (Mandevu) - to ask the Minister of Education:
(a) whether the Government has any plans to construct an additional secondary school in Mandevu Parliamentary Constituency;
(b) if so, when the plans will be implemented; and
(c) what the estimated cost of the project is.
50. Mr. Mutelo (Mitete) - to ask the Minister of Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development:
(a) whether the Government has any plans to construct a link road connecting Zambezi West Parliamentary Constituency to Kalabo District via Mitete and Liuwa Constituencies;
(b) if so, when the plans will be implemented; and
(c) if there are no such plans, why.
