QUESTIONS FOR ORAL ANSWER (STANDING ORDER 74)
156 Mr Mushanga (Bwacha) - to ask the Minister of Youth, Sport and Arts:
(a) whether the Government has any plans to reconstruct the Winter Muleya Stadium in Kabwe District;
(b) if so, when the project will commence; and
(c) if there are no such plans, why.
157 Mr Mtayachalo (Chama North) - to ask the Minister of Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development:
(a) why the construction of the Magistrates Court Complex in Chama District, which is at 90% completion, has stalled;
(b) when the project will resume;
(c) what the total cost of the outstanding works is; and
(d) what the time frame for the completion of the project is.
158 Mr E Tembo (Feira) - to askthe Minister of Education:
(a) why the following Schools in Feira Parliamentary Constituency had not been granted treasury authority to pay teachers, as of November, 2021:
(i) Kapoche Secondary; (vi) Feira Day Secondary;
(ii) Kapoche Special; (vii) KakaroDay Secondary;
(iii) Kaunga Secondary; (viii) Chankasi Primary;
(iv) Kaunga B Primary; (ix) Kaluluzi Primary; and
(v) Chimutengo Primary; (x) Mandombe Primary;
(b) what has caused the delay in granting the Schools treasury authority; and
(c) when the Schools will be granted treasury authority.
159 Ms Nyemba (Chifunabuli) - to ask the Minister of Energy:
(a) whether the Government has any plans of tapping power from Pensulo Power Station in Serenje District to improve power distribution in Chifunabuli Parliamentary Constituency; and
(b) what measures the Government is taking to reduce load shedding and power outages in the Constituency.
160 Mr Miyutu (Kalabo Central) - to ask the Minister of Education:
(a) how many, of the following categories of schools, there were in Kalabo District, as of February, 2022:
(i) community schools; and
(ii) primary schools; and
(b) when the community schools will be upgraded to Government schools.
161 Mr P Phiri (Mkaika) - to ask the Minister of Community Development and Social Services:
(a) what the estimated number of children living on the streets, countrywide, was, in the following years:
(i) 2000; (iv) 2015; and
(ii) 2005; (v) 2020;
(iii) 2010;
(b) what the cause of the problem of children living in the streets is; and
(c) what practical measures the Government is taking to address the problem.
162 Mr Miyutu (Kalabo Central) - to ask the Minister of Water Development and Sanitation:
(a) how many households were connected to piped water in Kalabo District, as of February, 2022;
(b) whether the Government has any plans to increase the number of households connected to piped water in the District; and
(c) if so, when the plans will be implemented.
163 Ms Nyemba (Chifunabuli) - to ask the Minister of Health:
(a) whether the Government has any plans to upgrade the following rural health centres to mini hospitals in Chifunabuli District:
(i) Chibuye; (v) Nshungu;
(ii) Kasuba; (vi) Mwewa;
(iii) Chishi; (vii) Mwansakombe; and
(iv) Miponda; (viii) Kandolo; and
(b) if so, when the plans will be implemented.
