339. Mr Kapyanga (Mpika)  -  to ask the Minister of Agriculture:

 

(a) whether the reduction in the number of satellite depots, countrywide, will not adversely affect the farmers who will have to travel long distances to the nearest depot;  

 

(b) if so, what measures are being taken to ensure that farmers transport their produce at affordable cost to the nearest satellite depot; and 

 

(c) whether the country’s food security will not be compromised due to

the reduced number of depots.
