Report Summary

The object of the Bill is to amend the Customs and Excise Act so as to:

  1. increase exercise duty on un-denatured spirits of alcoholic content of eighty per cent or higher;
  2. increase customs duty on explosives;
  3. increase customs duty on flat iron sheets and non-alloy steel;
  4. increase the customs duty rate on edible oils;
  5. remove the customs duty on aviation fuel; and
  6. provide for matters connected with, or incidental to, the foregoing.
