Report of The Committee On Estimates on The Customs And Excise (Amendment) Bill, N.A.B No 22 Of 2015
Parliamentary Period:
Report Summary
The object of the Bill is to amend the Customs and Excise Act so as to:
- remove customs duty on green houses and rose seedlings;
- revise the customs duty rates applicable to the importation of motor vehicles and impose surtax on the importation of vehicles older that five years;
- increase specific Excise duty rates on tobacco products;
- provide for the keeping of transactional records for a minimum period of six years; and
- provide for matters connected with, or incidental to, the forgoing.
