QUESTIONS FOR ORAL ANSWER

899 Mr Malama (Mfuwe) - to ask the Minister of Local Government and Housing how many indigenous Zambians own buildings along the following roads in Lusaka:

(i) Cairo Road;
(ii) Cha Cha Cha Road;
(iii) Freedom Way; and
(iv) Lumumba Road.

900 Mr Mweemba (Magoye) - to ask the Minister of Energy and Water Development when Chief Hanjalika’s palace in Magoye Parliamentary Constituency will be connected to the National Grid.

901 Mr Imasiku (Liuwa) - to ask the Minister of Local Government and Housing:

(a) how many buildings were left by the former WENELA in the Western Province, district by district;

(b) how the buildings at (a) above have been distributed in each district; and

(c) what the current status of the former WENELA buildings in Kalabo District is.

902 Mr Chisala (Chilubi) - to ask the Minister of Agriculture and Co-operatives when an agricultural depot will be built in Chilubi District.

903 Mrs E M Banda (Chililabombwe) - to ask the Minister of Education:

(a) when the Ministry will procure desks for most of the schools in Chililabombwe Parliamentary Constituency; and

(b) whether the Ministry has plans to construct science laboratories in basic schools which were upgraded to high schools in the above Constituency.

904 Mr Mwapela (Kalabo Central) - to ask the Minister of Tourism, Environment and Natural Resources:

(a) why ZAWA is not providing adequate support to its officers in Kalabo District who focus their anti-poaching activities in the Liuwa National Park at the expense of other areas in the district; and

(b) when an officer from the ZAWA offices in Chilanga will be sent to Kalabo District to assist in the formation of Community Resource Boards.

905 Mr Sichamba (Isoka West) - to ask the Minister of Energy and Water Development:

(a) when the electrification of Chief Kafwimbi’s Palace in Isoka West Parliamentary Constituency will be completed; and

(b) why the project was abandoned despite its importance to the community in Kafwimbi.

906 Mr Hamusonde (Nangoma) - to ask the Minister of Works and Supply when the Government will rehabilitate the following roads in Nangoma Parliamentary Constituency:

(i) the road from Nachibila School to Nalubanda via Choombwa; and
(ii) the road from Myooye area to Muchabi School.

907 Mr D Mwila (Chipili) - to ask the Minister of Sport, Youth and Child Development what measures the Ministry has taken to ensure that the Football Association of Zambia becomes economically viable and autonomous in order to stop the current dependency on Government funding.

908 Ms Limata (Luampa) - to ask the Minister of Agriculture and Co-operatives when the following agricultural inputs will be distributed to Luampa Parliamentary Constituency in readiness for the 2007/2008 farming season:

(i) basal and top dressing fertilisers; and
(ii) maize, finger millet, sorghum and potato seeds.
