QUESTIONS FOR ORAL ANSWER

1065 Mr Kambwili (Roan) - to ask the Minister of Education:

(a) how many disciplinary cases are currently awaiting disposal by the Teaching Service Commission; and

(b) what the average length of time is for a case to be disposed of by the Teaching Service Commission.

1066 Mr Simama (Kalulushi) - to ask the Minister of Health when a new ambulance will be bought for Lufwanyama District.

1067 Mr Katuka (Mwinilunga East) - to ask the Minister of Education:

(a) when the science laboratories at the following schools in Mwinilunga East Parliamentary Constituency will be stocked:

(i) Ntambu High School; and
(ii) Lunga High School; and

(b) when the Government will construct a high school in Chief Chibwika’s area.

1068 Mr D Mwila (Chipili) - to ask the Minister of Labour and Social Security what action the Ministry has taken on the current disputes affecting the recognition agreement between the ZESCO management and the National Energy Sector and Allied Workers’ Union (NESAWU).

1069 Ms Limata (Luampa) - to ask the Minister of Education:

(a) when the rehabilitation of Luampa Basic School in Luampa Parliamentary Constituency will be completed;

(b) which contractor is rehabilitating the school; and

(c) whether the Ministry has inspected the work that has so far been done.

1070 Mr Mwangala (Nalolo) - to ask the Minister of Education whether there are any plans to rehabilitate the following dilapidated schools in Nalolo Parliamentary Constituency:

(i) Sinungu School;
(ii) Likuma School;
(iii) Nasiwayo School;
(iv) Kataba School;
(v) Mukukutu School; and
(vi) Nanjuca School.

1071 Mr Mukanga (Kantanshi) - to ask the Vice-President:

(a) what co-operation exists between the Disaster Management and Mitigation Unit and the Environmental Council of Zambia;

(b) what measures have been taken to ensure that impending future disasters resulting from investment ventures or new technology are under control; and

(c) how many organisations or companies have so far been closed and new technologies stopped due to intervention by the Disaster Management and Mitigation Unit.

1072 Mr Malama (Mfuwe) - to ask the Minister of Finance and National Planning:

(a) how much money was released from the national budget to finance development projects in Mfuwe Parliamentary Constituency from 2001 to 2007, year by year; and

(b) how many projects were financed in the period above, name by name.

1073 Mr Ntundu (Gwembe) - to ask the Minister of Agriculture and Co-operatives:

(a) what the term of office of the Food Reserve Agency Board is; and

(b) how often does the Board meet.

1074 Mr C Mulenga (Chinsali) - to ask the Minister of Health when Chinsali District Hospital will be provided with an ambulance.

1075 Mr Muyanda (Sinazongwe) - to ask the Minister of Works and Supply when the Kanchindu/Siampondo road, in Chief Mweenda’s area in Sinazongwe Parliamentary Constituency, will be repaired.

1076 Mr Chanda (Kankoyo) - to ask the Minister of Education when schools will be built in Muya and Triple S farming areas in Kankoyo Parliamentary Constituency.

1077 Mr Chisala (Chilubi) - to ask the Minister of Communications and Transport when the supervision of canal clearing and deepening will be transferred from the office of the District Commissioner to district councils.

1078 Mr Mukanga (Kantanshi) - to ask the Minister of Education:

(a) when the Government will build a high school in the Mokambo/Kasambo/Murundu/Mwembe catchment area; and

(b) how the Government decision at (a) above will assist the girl child.

1079 Mr D Mwila (Chipili) - to ask the Minister of Community Development and Social Services when funds will be allocated to Luminu Farming Block for the disabled in Chipili Parliamentary Constituency.

QUESTIONS FOR WRITTEN ANSWER

W18 Mr Kambwili (Roan) - to ask the Minister of Education:

(a) how many teachers were waiting to be confirmed from 2001 to 2006; and

(b) how long each of them had served.

W19 Mr Mukanga (Kantanshi) - to ask the Minister of Education:

(a) how many students were enrolled at the University of Zambia and the Copperbelt University from 2000 to 2007, year by year and province by province; and

(b) what criteria were used to select the students for admission to the two universities above.
