QUESTIONS FOR ORAL ANSWER

132 Mr P Ngoma (Feira) - to ask the Minister of Transport, Works, Supply and Communication when a feeder road from Luangwa Boma along the Zambezi River to Chilobwe Basic School and Kavalamanja Village will be rehabilitated.

133 Mr P Ngoma (Feira) - to ask the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Tourism when the Government will crop the growing population of wild animals especially elephants and hippos in the Luangwa/Rufunsa Game Management Area which is leading to the increased human-animal conflict in the area.

134 Mr Taima (Solwezi East) - to ask the Minister of Mines and Natural Resources:

(a) whether there are any business entities prospecting for minerals in the Solwezi East Parliamentary Constituency especially in the area between Kipushi town in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Solwezi town in Zambia and, if so, who the prospective investors are; and

(b) whether there have been any mineral deposits found in the area at (a).

135 Mr Mushanga (Bwacha) - to ask the Minister of Agriculture and Livestock:

(a) how much money was spent on the following activities during the 2010/2011 farming season, country-wide:

(i)  procurement of fertiliser under the Farmer Input Support Programme;
(ii) purchase of maize from farmers;
(iii) transportation of maize to safe storage; and
(iv) storage of maize;

(b)  how many tonnes of maize were produced; and

(c)  what the cost, on average, of producing a 50kg bag of maize was.

136 Mr Sililo (Mulobezi) - to ask the Minister of Transport, Works, Supply and Communication:

(a)   When the Makanga-Luampa feeder road via Mangumwi, Machile, Mulobezi and Sichili in Mulobezi Parliamentary Constituency, will be graded; and

(b)  when the following bridges in Mulobezi Parliamentary Constituency which were washed away a long time ago, will be repaired:
(i)   Machile;
(ii)  Saale; and
(iii) Kasima.

137 Mr Mwanza (Solwezi West) - to ask the Minister of Commerce, Trade and Industry whether the Government has any plans to facilitate the establishment of a commercial bank at Manyama area in Solwezi West Parliamentary Constituency to service the growing mining settler population in the area.

138 Mr Chisala (Chilubi) - to ask the Minister of Agriculture and Livestock why Zambia imported more fish than it exported in 2010.

139 Mr Chisala (Chilubi) - to ask the Minister of Agriculture and Livestock why construction of offices for the Fisheries Department at Chaba in Chilubi District stalled in 2010.

140 Ms Sayifwanda (Zambezi East) - to ask the Vice President when the Gender and Child Development Division under the Office of the President will be turned into a fully fledged ministry.

141 Mr Chungu (Luanshya) - to ask the Minister of Health what the current national doctor-patient ratio in Zambia is.

QUESTIONS FOR WRITTEN ANSWER

W6  Mr Miyanda (Mapatizya) - to ask the Minister of Mines and Natural Resources:

(a)   how many tonnes of amethyst were produced by the Kariba Minerals Company in Mapatizya Parliamentary Constituency from January, 2010 to October, 2011, month by month;

(b)   how much money the Company realised from the sale of the mineral in the same period, month by month;

(c)   of the amount at (b) how much was spent on corporate social responsibility activities in the area; and

(d)   whether the Government has any plans to expand and improve on the mining activities in Mapatizya Parliamentary Constituency.

W7  Mr Mwanza (Solwezi West) - to ask the Minister of Education, Science and Vocational Training how many pupils from the following schools qualified to enter public universities from 2005 to 2010, year by year:

(a)   Solwezi Technical High;

(b)   Mukinge Girls Secondary;

(c)   Mwinilunga Secondary;

(d)   Zambezi Secondary;

(e)   Maheba Secondary;

(f)    Jinundu Secondary;

(g)   Mutanda High;

(h)   Kyawama High; and

(i)    Kimasala Day Secondary.
