An Act to provide legislation relating to the employment of persons; to make

provision for the engagement of persons on contracts of service and to

provide for the form of and enforcement of contracts of service; to make

provision for the appointment of officers of the Labour Department and for the

conferring of powers on such officers and upon medical officers; to make

provision for the protection of wages of employees; to provide for the control

of employment agencies; and to provide for matters incidental to and

consequential upon the foregoing.
