The National Assembly of Zambia is among the Parliaments benefiting from the European Union, the International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (International IDEA) Parliaments in Partnership (INTER PARES) programme aimed at strengthening representative and inclusive democracy, through support to the effective functioning of Parliaments in partner countries, by enhancing their legislative, oversight, representative, budgetary and administrative functions.  One of the priority areas under the programme is ‘Representation, Citizen Engagement and Youth Participation.’  In this regard, the National Assembly of Zambia and INTER PARES will convene a Youth Parliamentary Academy (YPA) to be held at the National Assembly, Parliament Buildings, Lusaka, from 18th to 21st November, 2024.
