SPEAKER MUTTI WISHES ZAMBIA STAFF IN ZIMBABWE AN IMPACTFUL 2024 ANCHORED ON HARDWORK AND RESULTS

Speaker of the National Assembly of Zambia, Nelly Butete Kashumba Mutti, MP, FAPRA has wished staff at the Zambia High Commission in Harare, Zimbabwe an impactful 2024 anchored on hardwork and results Oriented.

Speaking when she paid a courtesy call on Zambia's High Commissioner to Zimbabwe, His Excellency Hon Derick Livune, Speaker Mutti encouraged the Mission staff to work as a team and ensure the strong ties that exist between the two countries yield mutual benefits to both countries. His Excellency Hon Livune welcomed The Rt Honourable Speaker and her delegation to the Chancery and apprised her on some of the challenges the mission was facing highlighting the delay in the completion of the new Chancery and other mission properties by the contractor, a matter that is still active by the Public Accounts Committee. The High Commissioner also informed the Speaker that the mission was preparing to hold the Joint Permanent Commission (JCP) with their Zimbabwe counterparts in March 2024 with one of the major issues to be discussed is the construction of the new Bridge between the Livingstone - Vicfalls Towns.

Speaker Mutti also took the occasion to present the 2024 National Assembly of Zambia Calendar which showcases the historical photos of the National Assembly as it celebrates 100 years its existence as a Legislature in May 2024. Speaker Mutti who was in Zimbabwe to attend to private matters was accompanied by her Executive Assistant, Mr Sage Samuwika and Aide De Camp, Ms Caroline Silenga.
