The Speaker of the National Assembly of Zambia, Right Honourable Nelly B. K Mutti, MP, FAPRA, launched the "Keep Parliament Clean" Campaign on Monday, 26th June 2023, at Parliament Building. Speaking during the event, the Speaker stated that the Campaign is aimed at creating a culture of cleanliness and hygiene in the Parliament Buildings, Parliament Members Motel and all Constituency offices across the country.

Speaker Mutti advocated for measures including mandatory cleaning of offices, random inspections by management, strategic litter bin placement and disinfecting of NAZ offices and other nearby areas.

Speaking during the same event, the Acting Clerk of the National Assembly of Zambia, Mr. Roy Ngulube praised the initiative led by the Speaker, saying that it is in line with the 2022 to 2026 National Assembly of Zambia Strategic Plan which is aimed at improving Administrative Service delivery and enhancement and strengthening of institutional operational systems, among other things. Emphasizing the importance of taking the campaign seriously, Mr Ngulube challenged all members of staff of the National Assembly of Zambia to personalize it and actively participate in order to achieve the intended results.
