MPs urged to put Zambia's interests first

The Zambian Embassy in Brussels, Belgium, received four Members of Parliament, who are attending the Organisation of African, Caribbean, and Pacific States (OACPS) Parliamentary Assembly, as well as the OACPS and European Union Joint Parliamentary Assembly (JPA).

The Meetings are discussing various issues from Democracy and Politics to Trade and Economics. Zambia is Chair of the Committee on Economic Development, Finance and Trade of the OACPS Assembly and Co-Chair of the same Committee of the ACP-EU JPA.

The MPs in attendance include Ms Sibeso Kakoma Sefulo, MP for Mwandi, Mr Jeffrey Mulebwa, MP for Kafulafuta, Mr Binwell Mpundu, MP for Nkana and Mr Davies Chisopa, MP for Mkushi South.

And Zambia’s Ambassador to Belgium, The Netherlands and Luxembourg, Mr Sylvester Mundanda called on the MPs to put Zambia’s interests first as they participate in the Assembly meetings.

He said this when the four Members of Parliament paid a courtesy call on him at the Zambian Embassy in Brussels, Belgium.
