The First Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of Zambia Hon. Malungo Chisangano, MP, has urged Chirundu residents to recognize and celebrate women and girls who are championing the advancement of transformative technology and digital education. She said this will encourage more women, girls and other marginalized groups to embrace technology which will result in greater potential for innovations that meet women’s needs and promote gender equality.
The First Deputy Speaker said this during the International Women’s Day Celebrations in Chirundu District on Wednesday, 8th March, 2023, where she graced the occasion.
This year’s International Women’s Day was themed “digital: innovation and technology for gender equality”.
