QUESTIONS FOR ORAL ANSWER

40    Mr P Phiri (Mkaika) - to ask the Minister of Energy:

(a)    whether the Government has any plans to electrify the following schools in Mkaika Parliamentary Constituency under the Rural Electrification Programme:

(i)    Chimtende;
(ii)    Chinkhombe;
(iii)    Chisale; and
(iv)    Matunga;

(b)    if so, when the plans will be implemented; and

(c)    what the total cost, on average, of electrifying one school is.

41    Mr Samakayi (Mwinilunga) - to ask the Minister of Commerce, Trade and Industry:

(a)    whether any investor has expressed interest in establishing a pineapple processing plant in Mwinilunga District;

(b)    if so, who the investor is;

(c)    when the project will commence; and

(d)    if there is no investor, what measures have been taken to find one.

42    Mr Kamondo (Mufumbwe) - to ask the Minister of Local Government:

(a)    when the rehabilitation of the following feeder roads in Mufumbwe Parliamentary Constituency will commence:

(i)    Kalengwa-Kabipupu;
(ii)    Musonweji-Mushima;
(iii)    Kashima-Lumwe; and
(iv)    Kalenda-Kabombo; and

(b)    what has caused the delay in rehabilitating the roads.

43    Ms O Phiri (Nyimba) - to ask the Minister of Housing and Infrastructure Development:

(a)    whether the Government has any plans to tar the Nyimba-Petauke via Nyampande road;

(b)    if so, when the plans will be implemented;

(c)    what the total cost of the project is; and

(d)    if there are no such plans, why.

44    Mr Mutale (Chitambo) - to ask the Minister of Housing and Infrastructure Development:

(a)    whether the Government has any plans to rehabilitate the Chitambo Hospital-Kasuko road in Chitambo Parliamentary Constituency;

(b)    if so, when the project will commence; and

(c)    what the time-frame for the completion of the project is.
