QUESTIONS FOR ORAL ANSWER

619    Mr Pande (Kasempa) - to ask the Vice President:

(a)    when the Government will release the findings of the following Commissions of Inquiry:

(i)    the Rodger Chongwe Commission of Inquiry into the Mongu Riots;

(ii)    the Sebastian Zulu Commission of Inquiry on the Sale of Zamtel to Lap Green of Libya; and

(iii)    the Wynter Kabimba Commission of Inquiry on the Oil Procurement under the Energy Regulation Board;

(b)    how much money was spent on each of the Commissions at (a); and

(c)    what the main recommendations of the Rodger Chongwe Commission of Inquiry were.

620    Mr Miyutu (Kalabo Central) - to ask the Minister of Agriculture and Livestock:

(a)    what measures have been taken to ensure that farming inputs under the Farmer Input Support Programme (FISP) are delivered in time country-wide; and

(b)    what caused the delay in delivering the inputs under the FISP in Numa Ward in Kalabo District for the 2014/2015 farming season.

621    Mr Katuka (Mwinilunga) - to ask the Minister of Agriculture and Livestock:

(a)    when the construction of the Kanyama Cattle Breeding Centre in Mwinilunga Parliamentary Constituency will be completed;

(b)    what the total number of animals at the Centre was, as of February, 2015; and

(c)    when the animals will be available for sale to the public.

622    Mr Namulambe (Mpongwe) - to ask the Minister of Local Government and Housing:

(a)    what the total number of boreholes in Mpongwe District was, as of December, 2014;

(b)    how many boreholes are required to meet the demand for water in the entire District; and

(c)    when additional boreholes will be sank.

623    Mr Simfukwe (Mbala) - to ask the Minister of Mines, Energy and Water Development:

(a)    which areas are benefiting from the increased power generation capacity following the upgrading of Lunzuwa Power Station and, in what quantities; and

(b)    whether the Government has any plans to distribute the increased power generated from the Lunzuwa Power Station to various rural electrification projects in Mbala District.

624    Mr Mbewe (Chadiza) - to ask the Minister of Home Affairs:

(a)    when the construction of a prison in Chadiza District will commence; and

(b)    what the cost of the project is.

625    Mr Sichula (Nakonde) - to ask the Minister of Mines, Energy and Water Development:

(a)    whether there have been any mineral explorations in Nakonde Parliamentary Constituency;
(b)    if so, what minerals were discovered; and

(c)    in which areas the minerals were discovered.

626    Mr Ndalamei (Sikongo) - to ask the Minister of Community Development, Mother and Child Health:

(a)    how many women’s clubs in Sikongo Parliamentary Constituency received funding from the Government from January, 2014 to April, 2015;

(b)    how much money, in total, was distributed to the clubs; and

(c)    what the names of the beneficiary clubs are.

627    Mr Hamusonde (Nangoma) - to ask the Minister of Agriculture and Livestock:

(a)    whether the Government is aware that some cattle farmers in the Kafue Flats are charged levies by local headmen; and

(b)    what measures the Government will take to correct the situation.

628    Mr Miyutu (Kalabo Central) - to ask the Minister of Education, Science, Vocational Training and Early Education what plans the Government has for pupils who cannot afford to pay Government approved secondary school fees, especially in rural areas where incomes are generally low.
