Munali community sports facility completed

Munali community sports facility has been completed in Ward 38 of Munali Constituency, a development aimed at promoting youth engagement and community development through sport.

The project, constructed using the Constituency Development Fund (CDF), is expected to provide a platform for young people to participate in various sporting disciplines and remain actively engaged.

Speaking in Munali Constituency following the completion of the project, Area Councillor for Munali Ward 38, Mr. Lubasi Milupi, said the completion of the modern sports facility marks a major step towards enhancing youth development and improving community well-being.

"This facility has been designed to identify and nurture local talent and provide a safe and structured environment for young people to develop their talents," he said.

Mr. Milupi further commended Government for the increase in CDF, from K1.6 million in 2021 to K40 million in 2026.

He described the development as a game changer in the delivery of community projects.

He noted that the CDF is not limited to infrastructure development, but also provides opportunities such as bursaries, skills training and empowerment programmes for youths and women.

“These initiatives are enabling young people to access education, acquire practical skills and venture into entrepreneurship through grants and loans,” he said.

Mr. Milupi urged members of the community to take responsibility for the facility and safeguard it from vandalism to ensure that it continues to benefit future generations.

The newly constructed sports ground is a fully equipped facility with a fenced perimeter, well-maintained grass playing field, solar-powered water reticulation system and modern dressing rooms for players.
