7. QUESTIONS FOR ORAL ANSWER (STANDING ORDER 80)
348. Mr Fube (Chilubi) - to ask the Minister of Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development:
(a) whether the Government has any plans to rehabilitate the Serenje-Samfya road to motorable standard;
(b) if so, when the plans will be implemented;
(c) what the estimated cost of the project, is;
(d) what the time frame for the completion of the project, is; and
(e) if there are no such plans, why.
349. Mr Nundwe (Chawama) - to ask the Minister of Water Development and Sanitation:
(a) whether the Government is aware that, during the rainy season, Ngwenya Dam in Chawama Parliamentary Constituency, overflows due to the absence of adequate water escape points, thereby causing flooding in surrounding residential houses;
(b) if so, whether the Government has any plans to rehabilitate the Dam and create a spillway to carry away the excess water, thereby prevent recurrent flooding in the area, which is densely populated;
(c) when the plans will be implemented;
(d) what the estimated cost of the exercise, is;
(e) what the time frame for the completion of the exercise, is; and
(f) if there are no such plans, why.
