The Acting Leader of Government Business
Suspend Standing Orders 26 and 55: That Standing Orders 26 and 55 of the National Assembly of Zambia Standing Orders, 2024, be suspended to enable the House hear the Address by His Excellency, Mr John Dramani Mahama, President of the Republic of Ghana, on Thursday, 5th February, 2026.

139. Mr Kandafula (Serenje) - to ask the Minister of Education:
(a) whether the Government has any plans to upgrade the following community schools, in Serenje Parliamentary Constituency, to Government schools:
(i) Mfwanta;
(ii) Musatila;
(iii) Makabi;
(iv) Ntenge;
(v) Chipendeshi;
(vi) Chibwe;
(vii) Nyamanda;
(viii) Chinshimba;
(ix) Chinsobwe; and
(x) Kalilanama;
(b) if so, when the plans will be implemented; and
(c) if there are no such plans, why.
140. Ms M Phiri (Milanzi) - to ask the Minister of Local Government and Rural Development:
(a) when the construction of the following bridges in Milanzi Parliamentary Constituency will be completed:
(i) Pundi - Kamanga Bridge across Katiula Stream; and
(ii) Kavulamungu Bridge across Kavulamungu Stream;
(b) at what percentage of completion each project was, as of September, 2025;
(c) what the cause of the delay in completing the projects, is; and
(d) what the cost of the outstanding works on each project, is.
141. Dr Andeleki (Katombola) - to ask the Minister of Community Development and Social Services:
(a) why the Government changed the mode of paying beneficiaries of the Social Cash Transfer Programme, from cash to electronic payment, through mobile phones;
(b) whether the Government is aware that the decision has affected many beneficiaries in Katombola Parliamentary Constituency, due to poor network connectivity and challenges of literacy levels; and
(c) what measures are being taken to ensure that the beneficiaries of the Programme receive their money on time.
142. Mr Mutale (Chitambo) - to ask the Minister of Health:
(a) whether the Government had procured radiography machines for the treatment of cancer in health facilities, countrywide, as of August, 2025;
(b) if so, how many machines were procured;
(c) how many health facilities benefited from the procurement above; and
(d) if no machines were procured, why.
143. Mr Miyutu (Kalabo Central) - to ask the Minister of Mines and Minerals Development:
(a) whether the Government has a time frame within which to complete the mineral mapping exercise;
(b) if so, when the project is expected to be completed;
(c) what the source of funding for the project, is; and
(d) which company has been engaged to conduct the exercise.
144. Mr J Daka (Chadiza) - to ask the Minister of Local Government and Rural Development:
(a) how many people benefited from the Cash for Work Programme in Chadiza District, from its inception to August, 2025, year by year;
(b) how many women benefited from the Programme; and
(c) if the number of women beneficiaries is below 30%, of the total beneficiaries, what measures the Government was taking to ensure that more women benefit.
145. Mr Siachisumo (Lufwanyama) - to ask the Minister of Commerce, Trade and Industry:
(a) whether the Government has any plans to engage an investor to undertake value addition to the emeralds produced in Lufwanyama District, in order to create jobs for the local people and increase revenue collection;
(b) if so, when the plans will be implemented; and
(c) if there are no such plans, why.
