The Agricultural Marketing Bill , 2025

Parliamentary Period: 
Fifth Session of the Thirteenth Assembly

The objects of this Bill are to—
 (a) establish the Zambian Agricultural Marketing Council and define its functions; 
(b) regulate and support agricultural markets; 
(c) promote an efficient, private sector driven agricultural marketing system; 
(d) establish the Agricultural Marketing Observatory Unit to manage data and information on agricultural products and markets; 
(e) facilitate access to agricultural markets; 
(f) promote the competitiveness of agricultural products and services in domestic, regional and international markets; 
(g) establish a framework for intervention measures relating to an agricultural product; and (h) provide for matters connected with, or incidental to, the foregoing.
