5. QUESTIONS FOR ORAL ANSWER (STANDING ORDER 80)
49 Mr Miyutu (Kalabo Central) - to ask the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation:
(a) how many visa applications were made by Zambians, from 2022 to 2024, year by year, to the following destinations:
(i) European Union countries; and
(ii) United Kingdom;
(b) how many applications were not successful;
(c) how much money was spent on the applications at (b); and
(d) what the cause of the rejection of the applications, was.
50 Mr Chanda (Kanchibiya) - to ask the Minister of Labour and Social Security:
(a) whether the Government is aware that some employers in the private sector terminate employees’ contracts without adhering to the grievance procedure in the Employment Code Act No. 3 of 2019;
(b) if so, what measures are being taken to ensure compliance with the law; and
(c) what measures have been put in place to safeguard employees from the following:
(i) unfair dismissals; and
(ii) unsafe working conditions.
51 Ms Nakaponda (Isoka) - to ask the Minister of Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development:
(a) whether the Government has any plans to construct bridges at the following sites in Isoka Parliamentary Constituency:
(i) Robert in Luangwa Ward;
(ii) Kwama Portal Culvert;
(iii) David Portal Culvert;
(iv) Mwenikombe Portal Culvert;
(v) Chitunji Portal Culvert; and
(vi) Mbao Portal Culvert;
(b) if so, when the plans will be implemented; and
(c) if there are no such plans, why.
52 Mr Mulunda (Siavonga) - to ask the Minister of Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development:
(a) why the construction of the following infrastructure in Siavonga District has stalled:
(i) district administration;
(ii) post office; and
(iii) staff houses;
(b) when the project will resume;
(c) what the time frame for the completion of the project is; and
(d) what the total cost of the project is.
53 Mr Munsanje (Mbabala) - to ask the Minister of Health:
(a) whether the Government has any plans to replace the non - functional mortuary equipment at Macha Mission Hospital in Mbabala Parliamentary Constituency;
(b) if so, when the plans will be implemented; and
(c) if there are no such plans, why.
54 Mr E Banda (Muchinga) - to ask the Minister of Energy:
(a) whether the Government has any plans to connect the following areas in Muchinga Parliamentary Constituency to the national electricity grid:
(i) Kundalumwasha;
(ii) Kaseba;
(iii) Moyenda;
(iv) Kamena;
(v) Chintakwa;
(vi) Miswema;
(vii) Mukopa; and
(viii) Masase;
(b) if so, when the plans will be implemented; and
(c) if there are no such plans, why.

Adopt Report of the Zambian Delegation to the 54th Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) Africa Region Conference: That this House adopts the Report of the Zambian Delegation to the 54th Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) Africa Region Conference held in Banjul, The Gambia, from 10th to 16th August, 2025, for the Fifth Session of the Thirteenth National Assembly, laid on the Table of the House on Thursday, 30th October, 2025.
