39. Mr S Banda (Petauke Central) - to ask the Minister of Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development:
(a) whether the Government has any plans to construct the following infrastructure on all public roads, countrywide:
(i) motorcycle lanes; and
(ii) motorcycle bays;
(b) if so, when the plans will be implemented; and
(c) if there are no such plans, why.
40 Mr. J Chibuye (Roan) - to ask the Minister of Education:
(a) how many cases of sextortion in institutions of higher learning were recorded, countrywide, from 2021 to 2024, year by year;
(b) how many offenders were arrested in the same period;
(c) how many offenders were dismissed from employment; and
(d) what urgent measures are being taken to curb the vice.
41 Mr Mabenga (Mulobezi) - to ask the Minister of Green Economy and Environment:
(a) how many timber trading concessions were issued, countrywide, from January, 2022 to July, 2025, year by year;
(b) whether the Government has a deliberate policy to tie the issuance of concessions to value addition, in order to create jobs for the local communities; and
(c) whether the Government has any plans to encourage timber traders to undertake corporate social responsibility programmes in the communities they operate from.

Restrict the Mining of Gold, Sugilite and Emeralds to the State: That this House urges the Government to restrict the mining of gold, emeralds and sugilite to the State.
