Suspend Standing Orders:  That Standing Orders 25 and 27 of the National Assembly Standing Orders, 2021, be suspended to enable the House sit at 09:00 hours on Tuesday, 31st October, 2023,to conduct the valedictory service in honour and memory of the late Hon AmusaaKatundaMwanamwambwa, former Speaker of the National Assembly.

 

 

 

130. Dr Mwanza (Kaumbwe) - to ask theMinister of Home Affairs and Internal Securitywhat the security situation in the following areas in KaumbweParliamentary Constituency in the last two weeks has been:

 

(a) Nyakuluna;

 

(b) Mtukuzi; and

 

(c) Chikalaba.

 

131. Mr Mabeta (Kankoyo) - to ask the Minister of Mines and Minerals Development:

 

(a) whether the Government is aware that youths in Mufulira District are protesting against the Government’s alleged award of the Black Mountain dump site to Jubilee Metals Limited, a South African Company, at their expense; 

 

(b) if so, whether indeed the Black Mountain has been awarded to Jubilee Metals Limited;

 

(c) what urgent measures are being taken to address the problem and calm the situation; and

 

(d) how the award of the Black Mountain to Jubilee Metals Limited is going to benefit the residents in the District.

 

 

132. Mr Miyutu (Kalabo Central) - to ask the Minister of Energy:

 

(a) what measures the Government is taking to increase the production of solar power; and

 

(b) which districts are earmarked for the establishment of solar plants.

 

133. Mr C Mpundu (Chembe) - to ask the Minister of Health:

 

(a) whether the Government has any plans to construct a Level I hospital in Chembe District;

 

(b) if so, when the plans will be implemented; and 

 

(c) if there are no such plans, why.

 

134. Mr Nyambose (Chasefu) - to ask the Minister of Agriculture:

 

(a) whether the Government has any plans to recruit additional agriculture extension officers in Chasefu District; and 

 

(b) if so, when the plans will be implemented.
