The Speaker of the National Assembly, Hon Amusaa K Mwanamwambwa, MP, appealed to Honorable Members of Parliament to ensure that issues relating to HIV/AIDS became part of their Constituency agenda. The Hon Mr. Speaker made this appeal at the launch of the Strategic Plan of the Coalition of African Parliamentarians Against HIV and AIDS (CAPAH), Zambia Chapter at Parliament Buildings on Thursday, 25th June, 2009.
On 18th June, 2009 Unicef Country Representative, Ms L Sylwander held a meeting with the Parliamentary Caucus on Children. The Parliamentary Caucus on Children (PCC), which was established in August, 2008 is an initiative of Members of the Zambian Parliament to promote and protect children’s rights.
